Turning to Community in Uncertain Times
In the past few months, people across the United States have witnessed wildfires, plane crashes, a tense presidential transition, and a series of executive actions that have caused uncertainty in many places where we work, live, study, and worship together. And that’s just the national headlines.
At Essential Partners, we see this as a time to come together, reflect on our values, and discover paths forward together even in the midst of differences and uncertainty.
We are hosting two free public dialogues for people to come together to reflect and imagine, connect and restore. We hope you will join us.
In small group dialogues, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with others, share stories, and begin to think about seeds you want to plant in your community in the weeks and months to come.
This will be a space that allows people to speak about their experiences and hopes without getting stuck in stagnation or overwhelm. We also want to help you tap into hope and possibility, connection and a shared future.
Following the dialogues, we’ll share information about tailored office hours to support further connection and discussion of next steps in your institutions and communities.
In the coming months, we will have the opportunity to decide again and again whether we want to turn towards one another or not. We will be invited to make decisions for ourselves, our families and our institutions; the ways we make those decisions will matter.
Essential Partners exists to help people build relationships across differences to address their communities’ most pressing challenges.
Join us in March as we practice turning to each other in uncertain times.
