Daniel Pritchard

A writer, translator, and editor, Daniel Pritchard (he/him) serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Essential Partners.

In his previous role as Senior Communications Associate for MIT's School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Daniel collaborated with some of the world's leading scholars and artists, including Nobel laureates and Pulitzer Prize winners, on a wide range of internal and external communications campaigns. Prior to that, Daniel enjoyed a career in educational, literary, and magazine publishing, holding positions with David R. Godine, Publisher, and Boston Review.

Outside of work, Daniel served as the founding editor of The Critical Flame, an online journal of literary nonfiction and literary criticism. A labor of love for fifteen years, its final issue was published in 2024. In 2017, Daniel had the privilege of serving his community when he was elected to a four-year term on the Watertown Free Public Library's Board of Trustees. Most recently, Daniel co-founded Housing for All Watertown, a grassroots initiative focused on expanding housing availability and affordability in Watertown.
